Jim Moodie concedes late season start.
Jim Moodie has reluctantly conceded that his 2004 season will not start at least until after the TT due to leg injuries sustained during the winter months. Moodie said "It's really disappointing for me but I was in this position back in 2001 where I missed a full season and I got through that okay to come back strongly. I see this as no different really and although last year was tough, I was looking forward to the challenge on a fully competitive bike". But after more tests it's now clear that Moodie's injury will require more time than first envisaged. He added "This couldn't have happened at a worse time but I've just got to accept it and at the moment all I can do is concentrate on keeping up my fitness level and getting back to full health in the coming weeks".
